Lisa Hayle
All In One Fitness is a unique personal training studio that opened on Solano Avenue in summer of 2005. The owners loved the airiness of the space, with its high ceilings, wooden beams, and exposed brick - but knew the white walls were too stark in contrast. They wanted the color scheme and interior design to relate not just to the architecture, but to the abundant gym equipment as well. Their ideas combined with Hayle Interiors’ suggestions about colors and textures led to the metallic finishes and bright walls in the space. The check-in desk was custom designed for function and made with wood and steel to align with the playful modern feel of the interior. It is a place that is warm and inviting yet energized and bold. This stunning classic 1880’s Victorian is located in Noe valley, San Francisco. After investing in a comprehensive and beautifully executed remodel, the owners sought interior color consultation and painting that would maximize the new elegance of their old home. Working with photos from magazines, fabric swatches, and the clients’ good taste and excellent ideas, Hayle Interiors selected a palette for the entire 3.5 story home. The beautiful stained glass dome in the solarium was not only the piece that inspired the homeowners to undertake this epic remodeling project, but also became a cornerstone of the design and color decision-making process.
Colin Hayle

This lovely structure is a 200 s.f. “Dacha” in the Oakland Hills that sits on the sloping rear property-line and is joined into a pre-existing garden hut. It has steel-reinforced 6’ deep cement pillars set into the dense clay loam which allow it to be “pitoned” into the earth to resist seismic activity. The building also has an internal “shear-box” in its framing similar to the Volvo steel-frame within a frame concept for its cars. There is an ample closet and fully modern electrical, cable, wireless and ethernet hook-ups inside. The skylight and oak-plank floor are beautiful surprises because from the outside it is part of the landscaping. It is a new addition which feels “original.” Colin worked in close collaboration with the client to realize her vision. A custom-made redwood-ladder allows access to cottage roof for spectacular views of the valley below.
Colin Hayle’s background in scenic design, set building, industrial showroom installation, upscale residential renovation, and high-end custom steel fabrication enables him to draw upon extensive experience when creating furniture or interior designs. He works with people of all budgets to realize their own vision, or accepts commissions to create one-of-a-kind pieces or spaces. A marriage of meticulous craftsmanship and solid construction results in beautiful, customized work that endures. He is an artisan who thrives on client collaboration and works with one customer at a time so that each project has his full attention until fruition.
